SWWHEP Student Services Project
The Student Support Services element of the collaboration provides a welcome opportunity for all of the HEIs involved to develop and improve support for disabled students.
The life changing and life enhancing opportunities of higher education have a powerful impact upon all students. Nowhere is this more evident than for students with disabilities who historically have been excluded from mainstream education and for whom the need to provide a level playing field through adjustments, support, aids and services is essential. One of the most exciting and positive developments in the higher education sector over the last decade has been the engagement with this agenda, the establishment of a comprehensive range of disability support services. In turn this has enabled thousands of students with disabilities to participate in and succeed throughout higher education.
