Welcome to the SWWHEP Staff Development web site

This website is designed to support two main groups of people in accessing and booking courses:

• Staff working for local Small to Medium Enterprises (referred to as SME staff throughout the website)
• Staff working at any one of the three SWWHEP Partner Institutions (Swansea Metropolitan University, Swansea University and Trinity University College Carmarthen, referred to as SWWHEP staff)

SWWHEP stands for ‘South West Wales Higher Education Partnership’ and the Staff Development project exists to maximise the opportunities available to the partnership institutions and their staff through sharing Staff Development expertise, programmes and events, and to offer people working in Small to Medium Enterprises (SME) the opportunity to book onto and attend some of these courses.

Further information for staff working for Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs)

The SWWHEP Staff Development project provides a comprehensive range of courses for staff working in the three SWWHEP partnership Universities BUT many of these courses being run are also open to you as a staff member working in a Small to Medium enterprise (SME) or small business.

Further information for staff working in SWWHEP Institutions

As with other SWWHEP Projects, the Staff Development project does operate within the formalities of the wider Project Management framework i.e. specific deliverables (mainly back room ‘policy, procedure and systems’), though it is hoped that staff can benefit immediately from the shared programme on offer to all staff working at one (or more) of the SWWHEP Partner Institutions.

Staff will also be made aware of ‘new’ and ‘additional’ opportunities additional to those contained in the shared programme brochure (Update) through email reminders and updates.
