SWWHEP Estates Management
The Estates teams from the three institutions are collaborating across a wide range of estates functions. The project is facilitating the collection of information in a common format. The aim is that best practice can be identified and adopted within each institution. The key participants are :
- Ian MacPherson - Deputy Director [Facilities] at Swansea University
- David Overment - Director of Estates Swansea Metropolitan University,
- Clive Howells - Estates Manager University of Wales Trinity St David.
A Swansea company, Quantarc Ltd, are assisting in the delivery of the institutions’ objectives for the SWWHEP project. The project team are working together to produce common formats and methodologies for estate information, maintenance and management. Specifically, this includes deliverables within three main areas of the estates operation :
Estates Management Software
Drawings and Property Data

Asset Information

Protocols and formats for information are being reviewed, assessed and improved. In addition, work is being carried out to collect property and asset information so that a full set of accurate information is available to each institution. All of the work that is carried out by the group will contribute to a common maintenance strategy that will guide the actions of the estates teams now and into the future.
