Develop your students
Employers today aren’t just looking for good degree results, they want to see graduates with a range of transferable skills who can show evidence of developing themselves professionally. With very little effort you can help your students improve their Employability by introducing them to PebblePad so they can build a e-portfolio or what is also known as a Personalised Learning Environment.
Heard of PebblePad? Not sure what it does?
In short it provides tools to help students develop their skills and reflect upon their learning.
Students can create a reflective journal, an on-line CV, websites, blogs, all which can be shared with Staff and Employers if wanted. They can also complete a Personal SWOT analysis, and on-line Personal Development Planning Courses. By the time they have completed their studies they will have a wealth of information which can be used as evidence of Professional and Personal Development for Employers.
Not what you’re looking for?
Then why not just use PebblePad as a personal tool to share/store information accessible anywhere you go. It’s also great for when your students are doing placements or work experience as you can view their learning journal and review their progress ! Or if you want your students to share ideas and discuss problems between themselves? Then get them to create a blog! Great Stuff !!
